Trish's first step into dog showing didn't go well.  With no idea what she was doing she went to a Companion Show, felt totally out of place and didn't go back to the show ring for 25 years.

The next time she was better prepared.  She went to ringcraft training, and trawled the internet trying to find out what happened at shows.  But quickly found there were huge gaps in the available information.  Although she had more of an idea the second time around, the vast amount of what she didn't know ended up making her feel a bag of nerves!

So as her own knowledge grew she decided to write a book which would give newcomers all those details that will prepare them for their first entry into the show ring.

The book grew and grew, and Trish, using her experience in interpreting legislation, and with the help of experienced exhibitors and judges, has gone through the main Showing Regulations and put together what the exhibitor (both beginner and advanced) needs to know in plain, simple English.  Stand! will provide a reference guide for people at all levels of showing.
